Informatie
Is an excavator stuck on a construction site? Then you're the one who gets it running again. As a field service mechanic, you head out whenever excavators, wheel loaders or trucks break down. When everything is running smoothly, you work in the workshop.
Waar je komt te werken:This technical company maintains and repairs a wide range of equipment, from excavators and wheel loaders to trucks. For clients, downtime is expensive: a machine that doesn't run brings a construction site to a halt. That's why fast, skilled repairs are part of the job here.
The atmosphere is informal and communication lines are short. You're trusted and given the freedom to organise your own work. The company invests in its employees' development, with room for training and courses. There is also attention to sustainable developments within the field. On top of that, there's a staff association, so you get to know your colleagues outside work as well.
Wat je gaat doen:The role has two sides. A large part of your time is spent on location. When an excavator, wheel loader or truck breaks down at a client's premises or on a construction site, you drive out to it. Together with the operator or driver, you track down the fault and get the machine running again as quickly as possible. On location, you work independently and make decisions on the spot.
When there are no breakdowns, you work in the workshop. There you carry out maintenance, repairs and periodic inspections, and you take on welding work. You keep a clear record of your work, so colleagues and clients know exactly what has been done.
To be honest: breakdowns don't follow a schedule. Sometimes you'll need to switch quickly from a planned maintenance job to an urgent call-out. That takes flexibility and a solution-focused attitude. In return, no two days are the same.
